I have been mastering since 2004. Every week, artists write to me with a track to release, a budget that doesn't stretch to a studio session, and the wish for a real master rather than a preset. For a long time I had nothing to offer them. Sonabilis is my answer: an open door to MB Mastering for projects that are starting out, self-releases, demos you want to present properly.
The engine doesn't imitate "a master". It applies my fingerprint: I measured, band by band, what twenty years of masters at the studio have in common — my balance, my levels, my limits. The gesture that came out — the linear-phase EQ, the level rules, the vinyl decisions — is what Sonabilis applies to your mix, with the same safeguards I use myself.

Streaming master
Full and clean: −11 LUFS / −1 dBTP when the mix can take it, never lighter than −14. Ready for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Bandcamp.
Vinyl master
Cut-ready premaster: headroom at −2 dBTP, mono low end, the same EQ as the digital master. Send it straight to your cutting engineer.
Club / DJ master
Loud, tight, controlled: −7.5 LUFS / −0.3 dBTP for big systems and DJ sets.
Every file is a 24-bit WAV at your mix's sample rate, head and tail blanks trimmed, true peak verified on the written file. The PDF report gives, for your mix and each master, integrated loudness, true peak, crest factor and the list of processing applied.
How it works.
Upload your mix
WAV, AIFF or FLAC preferred (24-bit), MP3 accepted. Up to 12 minutes. Leave 3 dB of headroom and no limiter on the mix bus.
The engine works
Full analysis (BS.1770, true peak, 31-band spectrum), linear-phase EQ toward the MB curve, limiting with a gain-reduction budget. About two minutes for a four-minute track.

Machine or human?
Sonabilis is very good on a clean mix. It makes no artistic decisions, won't rescue an unbalanced mix and doesn't replace a pair of ears. When the project matters — an album, a pressing, a label release — studio stereo mastering is €80 per track, with the analog chain, one revision included and my ears from start to finish.

It's automatic mastering. Why €19 when others are free?
Because the engine doesn't aim at a generic target: it was calibrated on my own masters — twenty years of work at the studio. What gets applied is my EQ gesture and my level rules — and you receive three consistent masters (streaming, vinyl, club), not a single 'louder' file. No automatic service today delivers a vinyl version and a club version.
Does it replace a studio master?
No, and I don't claim it does. Sonabilis is very good on a clean, healthy mix. It won't make artistic decisions, won't fix an unbalanced mix, and doesn't have my ears. When the project matters, studio stereo mastering is €80 per track — and if you've already tried Sonabilis, I listen to your feedback before I start.
What exactly do you get?
Three 24-bit WAV files ('Streaming', 'Vinyl', 'Club DJ') at your mix's sample rate, plus a PDF report with the measurements of your mix and of each master: integrated loudness, true peak, crest factor, the level chosen and the processing applied.
What if the mix can't take the target level?
The engine stops before it damages your mix: beyond 6 dB of gain reduction or below a 10 dB crest factor, it adapts the level and tells you so in the report. It's the rule I apply in the studio.
Are my files kept?
Your mix is deleted as soon as the masters are rendered. The masters stay downloadable for seven days, then they're erased. Nothing is reused, nothing is shared.
How do I pay?
Online payment (€19 per track) comes with the public release. During the launch phase, listening is free and downloads open with an access code from the studio: ask for one through the contact page.
